Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis, also known as ABA, utilizes a systematic approach on maximizing learning and reducing inappropriate behaviors. Therapy can focus on teaching a new skill, such as language or academic-related skills, and reducing negative behaviors by replacing them with adaptive ones. We utilize a comprehensive approach and design each intervention based on the individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and interests. We integrate a structured approach while emphasizing natural environment learning as all of our interventions occur in the home, school, or in the community. Formal assessments precede intervention.

OT is a health profession that focuses on improving an individual’s ability to perform everyday tasks that are important and meaningful to the them thereby enhancing their quality of life. Our OT's can help in the areas of sensory integration, social and play skills, attention, cognition, perceptual and motor tasks such as handwriting and coordination, emotional and psycho-social skills, and self-care as well as adapting tasks or materials to facilitate participation, promote success, and increase independence.

Educational Psychology

Clinical Studies

Integrative Methods strives to provide the highest quality therapeutic services. We run internal clinical studies to support our intervention as well as to share our findings with others.
Studies include the use of visual support to enhance communication (number of words), the use of hand signals to facilitate phonetic reading, and the use of diagrams to enhance reading comprehension. Future clinical studies include using anticipatory prompting to prevent negative behaviors.
